Mosquitoes can be a real nuisance because of their constant stinging and buzzing. Besides bothering us, these pests are known to carry potentially dangerous pathogens inside them.
They spend their early lives in standing water until they reach the adult stage, at which point they fly. There are both male and female mosquitoes. Females are the ones that feed on blood and lay eggs.
Depending on the species, mosquitoes can lay hundreds of eggs at once. Males do not feed on blood and have “hairy” antennas used to find females. Males are usually smaller and have shorter lifespans.

Identifying The Problem & Control

Deseases
Because mosquitoes consume blood, they can become carriers of pathogens that are dangerous to humans and may easily infect people if there is a large infestation.
Stinging
Female mosquitoes feed on blood to develop their eggs, so they constantly look for hosts to feed on. The effects of her stings vary from person to person. Some may experience little to no irritation, while others have severe inflammation.
Standing water
Any place with standing water can serve as a breeding spot for mosquitoes. Female mosquitoes may lay hundreds of eggs in areas where water pools, which then become habitats for new mosquitoes. It is crucial to eliminate standing water around your home to help reduce the mosquito population.
